NewtNewts...

The newt can make a great addition to even a beginning hobbyist's collection because they are relatively easy to care for and inexpensive. The Fire Belly Newt is quite mellow. The best time to find them being active is around feeding time. Captive Fire Belly Newts should be fed live food. Feeder fish can also be given occasionally, but they should not comprise the entire diet. Some will also eat frozen food such as bloodworms.

Crabs.....

This picture shows a Male Gold Fiddler Crab. You can tell he is a male by his large right claw at the top of the picture. Females do not have oversized claws. To some people with lots of imagination these large claws look like fiddles, so these Crabs are called Fiddler Crabs. Males often climb on top of something like a rock and wave their large claw.

Frogs and Tadpoles......

To successfully keep frogs you need to know how to look after them. They need live food, and will not readily eat dead or non-moving food items. Frogs need an environment with clean water, shelter and feeding space.

Tadpoles are a little easier to keep. They need clean water (tap water needs to be treated to remove chlorine compounds) and a diet of suitable plant food. Their pond needs rocks to climb onto when they metamorphose and areas to escape from the sun.
